Why Americans FAIL

I was driving my kid to school this morning, doing 50 mph down a local street that's posted 55. Some a-hole, behind me since we were stopped at the stop light, decides he's not getting his money's worth at five miles an hour under the speed limit. His solution? Ride my ass.

Now, this is a two lane road, mind you. This jackass could have switched lanes and gone around me any time he wanted. But, no, the law says 55 and I was only doing 50. I had to pay.

For those of you light on math, the stretch of road we were traveling is almost exactly one mile long (he turned and followed me up Mooney Boulevard, so we both traveled exactly the same distance down Goshen Avenue from the stop light). At 50 mph, we covered that distance in 72 seconds. That a-hole wanted to go that extra five miles per hour. The difference? At 55, we would have covered that mile in 66 seconds, a gain of 6 seconds.

Oh, yeah, that's worth riding my ass and risking the lives of me, him and our passengers. Moron.

Now, how does this spell the end of the American dream? Let's call it the 8 percent idiocy. That idiot risked all for a gain of 8 percent efficiency, and Americans do stupid things like that all the time.

How many women have abortions? Less than one percent. Yeah, let's have a fit about that.

How many people are using evil drugs? A hair over 8 percent. Yeah, let's lock up one out of every 99 Americans over that.

How many Americans have died at the hands of terrorists on US soil? About 3,000, about 0.00001 percent of the population. Yeah, let's spend a trillion dollars and make war on two seperate fronts and kill hundreds of thousands of people over that.

Americans are arrgoant idiots who overreact to minor threats, who waste our energy on the margins, and that's why we fail.

You people deserve it

Americans are getting exactly what they deserve. Ha-fucking-ha. Fuck all of you greedy, fat, self-righteous, ignorant sons-of-bitches. This is the reality you’ve made for yourselves. I am so glad that I have dropped out. I don’t work, I don’t pay taxes, I don’t have a mortgage, I have a single credit card with less than $800 debt on it, and that’s the major debt in my life, so fuck all of you.

I don’t have a brand new SUV, and my clothes are well-worn, but they’re fucking paid for. My car’s not new, but I don’t owe anyone anything for it. It actually belongs to me, unlike all you wage slaves who are paying for the privilege of using that shit until it’s worn out, at which point you will actually own it, when it’s not worth owning anymore, and even while you’re paying the thing off, when it doesn’t actually yet belong to you, you’re still saddled with having to pay for repairs and fuel and insurance. Ha! You’re fucked!

You’re out there working your asses off for absolutely nothing. You’re treading water, just a couple of weeks of unemployment away from complete disaster.

And, there’s nothing you can do about it because you’re holding both ends of the leash and you won’t let go. You’re chickenshit. You’re too goddamned scared to give up all the shit the corporate advertisers have hypnotized you into thinking you need to survive. How will you get along without your flat-screen television sets and your bus-sized cars?

Morons. Scared, pathetic slaves of your own making, chained by your own greedy desires. Ha-fucking-ha! You people are fucked because you’ve fucked yourselves and you keep playing by the rules because you can’t think what might happen if you break them. You haven’t got the balls to live on your own terms.

What the Fuck Is Wrong with Us?!

I cannot believe this. I don't want to believe this. How the hell can people go about our daily lives as if nothing has happened in New Orleans? This is amazing. Sickening. The horrible news is everywhere, but we ignore it. The Bush administration is turning the tactics it has perfected in Iraq against our fellow citizens, ignoring the pleas of the suffering, preventing images of the dead, sending in armed troops instead of providing them with food, water and shelter.

Barbara "the Bitch" Bush has even said the impoverished people evactuated in the wake of the flood are better off living in the Astrodome in Houston and she's afraid they'll find it so much to their liking they won't want to leave. She said she's scared. That whore doesn't know the meaning of the word.

Why are we still allowing this to happen? Why are these men and women still in power?

Sheehan Tells It Like It Is

Cindy Sheehan wrote another open letter to the ignorant American public, again holding no punches. Here's an exerpt:

One thing I haven't noticed or become aware of though is an increased number of pro-war, pro-Bush people on the other side of the fence enlisting to go and fight George Bush's war for imperialism and insatiable greed. The pro-peace side has gotten off their apathetic butts to be warriors for peace and justice. Where are the pro-war people? Everyday at Camp Casey we have a couple of anti-peace people on the other side of the road holding up signs that remind me that "Freedom isn't Free" but I don't see them putting their money where their mouths are. I don't think they are willing to pay even a small down payment for freedom by sacrificing their own blood or the flesh of their children.

Here's what our fearless leader has to say about why he's avoiding Cindy Sheehan.

I think it's important for me to be thoughtful and sensitive to those who have got something to say. But I think it's also important for me to go on with my life, to keep a balanced life ... I think the people want the president to be in a position to make good, crisp decisions and to stay healthy. And part of my being is to be outside exercising. So I'm mindful of what goes on around me. On the other hand, I'm also mindful that I've got a life to live and will do so.

I'd say he's balanced his life on a pile of broken soldiers' bodies. What a spineless worm! This is a quote he gave the Cox News Service, so hopefully his whining will be spread far and wide and perhaps his remaining supporters will finally see him for what he is. Just wanted to get this down in black and white: Matt Drudge is a half-witted, ass-licking attention whore who isn't fit to breath the same air as the likes of Cindy Sheehan. Glad I got that off my chest.
